With the emergence of a viral trend, highlighting the chicken bake, and the double chunk chocolate chip cookie from Costco, many people are paying attention to the warehouse store and its many benefits. However, it has one major competitor that’s not getting as much viral attention, Sam’s Club, the warehouse store owned by Walmart.
While these stores are fairly similar, both requiring an annual membership fee, Costco takes an edge over Sam’s Club and has more to offer. Firstly, Costco is home to its spectacular food kitchen, where it sells a variety of things including, cookies, chicken bakes, ice cream, and a bang for your buck pizza. Sam’s Club may have some pretty similar options, however, they pale in comparison to the popularity and notoriety of the Costco menu. Just think about it, when was the last time you saw someone bring a box of Sam’s Club pizza somewhere? Costco is also known for its huge selection of many brands, whereas Sam’s Club’s variety of brands is much more limited.
A highly overlooked aspect of Costco is their top-of-the-line gas. Every Costco has gas pumps right next to it, and allows members to purchase premium gas for a great cost, Sam’s Club is missing this feature in its entirety. Costco also promotes cleaner living, and a more sustainable environment with its selling of organic products that don’t contain synthetic pesticides, while these may be found at Sam’s Club, members will have to pay a premium for this extra benefit.
And finally, each of these two stores have their rivaling store-brands, with Costco’s being Kirkland Signature, and Sam’s Club being Member’s Mark. But the quality is much more higher with the Kirkland Signature. As soon as you see the cursive writing, with the red signature underneath the Kirkland, you know you are in good hands. This brand is simply iconic and Member’s Mark does not even compare, in the size and quality of Kirkland Signature.
If you want top of the line products, friendly employees that will always be willing to give you a hand, and that never-ending delight of chocolate chip goodness, just head on down, across the street, to your local Costco.
