Several people were nominated for the Homecoming court. The voting started on Mon Sep, the 25th. The finalists were announced the following day over the announcements. They are all very excited about this opportunity that they have been chosen for. 

One of the sophomore finalists, Camila Zavales, has said she was nominated because she is a “good member of Stuco”. She had also said that she would want Finley Pennington alongside her. The theater has nominated Finley Pennington for sophomore homecoming royalty. Pennington believes he was nominated because he is very involved and active in his community here at school. 

Unfortunately for Seniors, this is their last chance which makes all the difference. Senior Queen nominee Kenadi Brown said that the senior year makes it “more exciting and also nerve-wracking”. The nominees will walk with another of their fellow nominees 

The underclassmen and king are crowned at the victory supper next Wed Oct, 11. This differs from the queen, who will get crowded at halftime during the homecoming game two days later. The students who are crowded get to be in the homecoming parade. The parade and game are both on Oct. 13 when the Pirates will be going against Park Hill South.
