The ribbon cutting ceremony for Glory Days Threads first physical location took place Thursday afternoon, with close friends and family attending to show their support.
Going from a primarily online store to having small pop-up shops, Platte County classic, Glory Days, finally has a physical location in Platte City. On NW Prairie View Road, in the same building as Bennet Eyecare Midwest, officially opening the doors to their first location. With many showing out at the grand opening on Feb. 6 to show their support for the brand, it has only been increasing in popularity, establishing itself as a household name.
With laughter, chatting, and memories occupying the store, Co-Founder Miranda Stegeman was able to share about husband and Founder Kyle Stegemans’ passion for the cause.
“We both grew up in Platte County and have a love for the community. With his love and passion for his hometown, for the schools and the sports, he’s just blessed to be able to do this. Then the community with their support; they’re amazing. I’m always so grateful.”
Glory Days Threads is a clothing staple especially known to the Platte County community for the merchandise they make catered to local sports teams, created for those who want to rep the orange and black in vintage and premium style.
In the midst of the pandemic, Glory Days was created with the mission of bringing nostalgic, quality merchandise to life. From a little hobby formed by the need for a creative outlet, Glory Days has grown into a thriving online store and collaborative business, partnering with numerous small businesses, organizations and individuals–even including Platte County high school–showcasing some of Platte County’s biggest achievements in the form of clothing.
Glory Days has three main collections shown on their website, the “Hometown Collection”, including hoodies, crewnecks, tee-shirts, and Dri-Fit options. This collection is for any age wanting to show some PC spirit. It also includes a variety of accessories, from hats to stickers in designs that are well known and loved.
The “PC Bombers” collection features three signature crafted bomber jackets in orange, black, and white, all with a unique embroidered design. Rolling out onto the online store in early December 2025, it stood out and gained traction on social media after Photographer Ross Martin was captured wearing the color “Orange Crush” at the Class 5 State Football Game.
There is also a collection of “Extras” that features old designs that have extras from Platte County events and sports teams that are not regularly produced any longer and only available while supplies last.
