Christmas is slowly approaching, meaning every place in town is filled with people, and calendars are filled with activities. Kansas City has a plethora of things to do over break and some hidden gems to visit this year.
The Crown Terrace Ice Skating Rink is located in downtown Kansas City in the Crown Center. It’s for all ages and admissions vary on age. Adults and Children 4 and older: $9 Children under age 4: Free with paid admission. Ice skating with friends and or family and watching everyone can be quite comedic and a fun way to spend a December day.
A hidden gem that not many are conversing about is Enchantment Christmas. Located in Kansas City, KS in a field by the Legends shopping center. A 10-acre combination of mazes, food and craft vendors, ice skating, and more, all intertwined with an intricate light display throughout the whole event. This is for all ages and is open now through Dec. 31 on the KC Monarchs baseball field.
If you’re the type to not be outside in the cold the Kansas City ballet is performing The Nutcracker at Kauffman Center. Ongoing now to Dec. 24. The Nutcracker tells the story of a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and wages a battle against the evil Mouse King. A perfect mix of Christmas, charm, and entertainment.
Whether it be ice skating, shopping around the maze, or watching ballet KC has places for everyone to visit over break.
